Ready to save lives

Hooray! I made it! I passed the AFDRU* mission test for search and rescue dogs. I am now a certified search and rescue dog and fully operational. Isn't this brilliant?

I spent months preparing for this challenging exam. In countless training sessions, I practised different operational scenarios. I strengthened my obedience and kept fit with endurance training. At the end of the day, I was often exhausted when I went to bed, but it was worth it.

For two days, we were confronted with various tasks, including searching a huge rubble field or abseiling down from high above. Phew, that was exciting! But my two-legged partner and I are a great team and mastered everything brilliantly. Now we have to keep training hard to be ready to response when disaster strikes.
