The international mission situation has changed due to the necessity for the implementation of the minimum standards of the INSARAG criteria where only certificated USAR-Teams are sent in mission. So the IRO has to set a USAR-Team Medium, which has to be seen a s a middle-term project due to the complexity of the task.
On international level, a delegation of experts, who are - centralised to a so called mobile OSOCC-group - quickly on site to value the situation and to demand international help is necessary. Skilled rescue dog-leaders of the IRO are part of this expert group.
On national level, off course, the IRO is part of numerous missions of its 90 member organisations in 36 countries.
