IRO Commission for Science and Research
Under Prof. Dr. Dusan Necak's (1st Vice-president of the IRO) leadership, the International Rescue Dog Organisation (IRO) has established a commission for Science and Research as per its constitutive meeting on the 18th December 2007 held in Salzburg.

One of the most important goals of the commission is to further the coordination, intensification and improvement of interdisciplinary research in the field of rescue dog work. This will not only involve the release of various publications for this purpose but also two scientific scholarships will be awarded in 2009.

The commission consists of veterinary experts as well as persons who have many years of experience in the field of rescue dogs. The commission members come from Slovenia, Austria, France, Sweden and the US.
