Under the lead of Prof. Dr. Dusan Necak (1st Vice-president of the IRO), the International Rescue-dog organization (IRO) has established a commission for Science and Research as per its constitutive meeting on Dec. 18th 2007 in Salzburg.
Among the main goal of the commission is the purpose of coordination, intensification and improvement of the interdisciplinary research within the rescue-dog field. For this purpose, not only the release of various publications will be pushed but also two scientific scholarships will be allocated in 2009.
The members of the commission are composed of veterinary experts as well as persons who have a longtime expert knowledge in the rescue-dog field. They are from Slovenia, Austria, France, Sweden and the US.
